    • In Kono a meeting of local authorities and dignitaries agreed to host a further meeting to include the mining company that had provided displaced villagers with substandard accommodation
    • The film showed the situation of the Affected Property Owners Association, who had been displaced by the mining company and provided with smaller houses of an inferior quality and no health centre or school. When the finished film was screened to the community they said they wanted it to be shown to chiefs, councillors and company management and so a showing for local authorities and dignitaries was arranged. This gathering resulted in those present agreeing to set up another meeting to which they would invite a wider audience, including the mining company.
    • Unfortunately the mining company did not turn up to the invitation. However, an interesting film was made of the meeting, showing clearly the sudden turning point when the authorities began to appreciate the Property Owners’ situation, and the fact that the direct voices and visual representation of video enabled the authorities to relate to them in a way that would not have happened otherwise.
