A short film created by community representatives in the KwaSanti township in Durban as part of a capacity building programme for Oxfam Canada partners in southern Africa.
Umphakathi Okhohliwe (The Forgotten Community) was made by participants in a community placement for trainees facilitators in a capacity building programme. As part of a two-week training programme delivered by InsightShare, trainees facilitated a Participatory Video project with a small group of community members in KwaSanti township, on the outskirts of Durban (South Africa), helping them create this powerful short video in just three days. Two other community placements in Thornwood and Molweni ran simultaneously and produced equally compelling and remarkable videos.
