  • Description

Part 2 of this Participatory Video created as part of an innovative community consultation process for the Department of Transport on the busy arterial - Cowley Road - in vibrant east Oxford.

Participatory Video facilitators were recruited from some of the target groups and trained to lead workshops. Participatory Video enabled low-literacy groups and non-native speakers to participate, as well as people with learning disabilities, asylum seekers, homeless people and others, and was a strong tool to advocate for voices and perspectives that are too often excluded. Working with so called 'hard-to-reach' groups in this way we showed how decision makers are actually the ones hard to reach!
