  Avec Nous has been widely promoted and disseminated throughout Burkina Faso UNFPA agreed to assist with outreach by translating it into two additional local languages The Ministry of Health has used the film to conduct advocacy with community leaders and promote greater support for safe motherhood The film has also been shared with many local district alliances, member NGOs and other organizations The film was presented at the Pan African Film Festival (FESPACO) in Ouagadougou

  Avec Nous is a Participatory Video project that gives a voice to women and men, mothers and fathers, midwives and community activists in one West African country, Burkina Faso - and brings that voice to a global audience.

  Avec Nous is a Particpatory Video project that gives a voice to women and men, mothers and fathers, midwives and community activists in one West African country, Burkina Faso - and brings that voice to a global audience.

  Six midwives working on the front line of health care in rural and urban ares were trained in film making in order to gather stories from their own communities - and to bring about change.

  This short documentary, with a stunning sound track by Ouegfadougou's own Djata Ilebou, tells these powerful stories for the first time and shows us how we can support the global movement to save mothers' lives.
