A window to the Green Agenda in the Western Balkans

Working in 6 Balkan countries MilieuKontakt and Kocka implemented a participatory process of local sustainable development called 'The Green Agenda'. Between November 2009 and October 2010 InsightShare facilitators visited the Green Agenda working groups in Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia to introduce participatory video as a way to tell their stories. Green Agenda in Serbia

This video is a compilation of the 3 community films made by the Green Agenda working groups, community members and local NGOs of Sremska Mitrovica, Knjaževac and South Banat (Plandište, Bela Crkva, Vršaci) in Serbia during the project “A window to the Green Agenda in the Western Balkans, local storytelling through Participatory Video”.

Tofiga O Pili Aau PHOTOSTORY

In August 2009, representatives of eight Samoan villages took part in a Participatory Video project that resulted in the creation of the film 'Tofiga O Pili Aau'. This Photostory is a visual record of the process through which the group planned, filmed and edited their video and describes the key stages in the decision-making process.


Voice of the Batwa PHOTOSTORY

The Voice of the Batwa PHOTOSTORY is a detailed description of the process through which a group of Batwa, from various squatter camps in Uganda, created a powerful film documenting the discrimination and marginalisation they face.


Gitans

Gitans is a compilation of four short films created by young gypsies in Lézignan-Corbières, southern France. The project took place in weekly sessions over one year project and engaged working young people with learning difficulties and behavioural problems.

Basket Weaving in Kalbeo Village

In this short film the women of Kalbeo village in northern Ghana demonstrate their techniques for crafting baskets for sale in the markets.  It is part of a series of short videos charting various livelihoods and farming activities including yam planting, honey collection and pig rearing.
