Soledad comes from the communication field, with experience in creative writing, international cooperation and social responsibility built on a BSc in Public Relations and nine years of professional work in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After doing an MSc in Communication for Innovation and Development at the University of Reading (UK), she became increasingly interested in participatory communication. Participatory media was the topic she focused on her dissertation research, which allowed her to go in depth in the analysis of participatory video (PV) as a tool for social change.
At InsightShare, she initially worked on the internal and external communication strategy, participating in the re-branding. From April 2009 until September 2010 she was the London Hub Mamma, coordinating projects, facilitating PV trainings, fundraising and nurturing the groups that are linked to the Hub.
Now a Senior InsightShare Associate, Soledad is leading a team of facilitators working to deliver a 10 month project of 4 stages: capacity building for Population Council Guatemala in using Participatory Video for Monitoring and Evaluation.
